Chapter Standards

Chapters are a core part of our community and define IIBA at the local level.  As each Chapter represents IIBA, a minimum set of standards is required to ensure that our community has a consistent and engaging experience.

Chapter Financials

Chapters are required to maintain records related to your programs, activities, finances and operations and submit to IIBA an annual report summarizing these items.

The report can be in the format of your Annual General Meeting report, a simple Excel spreadsheet or you can use the Chapter Financial Statement Template.

IIBA’s fiscal year is from January 1 to December 31.

Please upload and submit the completed template in this online form

Request Speakers From IIBA Global

IIBA is committed to supporting Chapter events through the provision of speakers from IIBA Global when timing and availability allow; and while every effort will be made to accommodate requests, priority will be given to Chapters who:

  • Provide a clear summary of the event (conference, educational session, PD day, etc.)
  • Haven't recently had a visit from an IIBA Global representative
  • Submit this form with sufficient notice
  • Identify the target audience and number of potential attendees
  • Have the Chapter President's approval

Requests will be reviewed by IIBA’s Chapter Operations Team and will be communicated with you.

Speaker Request Form

Speaker Database

IIBA Chapters are continuously looking for new speakers and topics to engage the local community. The Speaker’s Database allows Chapters to recommend speakers that other Chapters might like based on topic, proximity, price, and language. The Database is available to all Chapter leaders to recommend quality speakers and to also help Chapter leaders connect with recommended speakers.

IIBA Career Centre

The IIBA Career Centre is not only the path to a BA’s future, it leads organizations to unique and exceptional talent, and is also a source of revenue for local Chapters!

Employers posting job opportunities within their organization for BA related positions on the IIBA Career Centre are charged a fee, and Chapters located in the area of the postings receive a portion of the fee from IIBA. This should not be considered a steady revenue stream, as it is strictly dependent on organizations in your area posting jobs on IIBA’s Career Centre.
