What’s Happening?
We are excited to announce that IIBA Global and Chapter Memberships are combining into one annual fee on May 4th, 2021! There is now only one annual fee for all the benefits IIBA provides, which now includes an expanded Chapter network and Connections, IIBA’s online global community. All Members will have access to IIBA’s network of over 120+ Chapters globally in different time zones and languages, providing new opportunities for professional development and networking around the world!

- We are harmonizing Membership pricing for IIBA Global and its Chapters so that there is only a single transaction to purchase an IIBA Membership. We are uniting the community so there is just one IIBA!
- IIBA Global Members currently not associated with a Chapter will be assigned to one according to the default address on your profile.
- Members will no longer be charged an activation fee upon joining or reactivating their IIBA Membership.
- IIBA is adding Connections, our global online community, to better serve our Members not currently geographically located near an IIBA Chapter. Connections will be available to all Members.
- Confirm your default address is correct in your profile - this will be used to determine which Chapter you are assigned to.
- Review what Chapter you are currently associated on your profile.
- If you are not currently part of a Chapter, one will be assigned. For more information, please see Joining a Chapter / Chapter Assignment.
- Confirm that you use the same email address in your Chapter membership profile (on your Chapter website [ https://my.iiba.org/s/searchdirectory?id=a251N0000051wZ4&_ga=2.211768085.1016584680.1618842871-853818692.1601653986 ]) as your current IIBA.org Member profile [ https://my.iiba.org/portal/s ]. This ensures you will have access to any purchase history from the Chapter's website post-May 4th. If you do not have a profile on any Chapter website, no action is required. Joining a Chapter / Chapter Assignment

- Members are assigned based on proximity of your default address to a Chapter.
- Your default address can be found in your profile - this will be used to determine how you are assigned.
- Review what Chapter you are currently associated with in your profile.
- If you are already part of a Chapter, you will NOT be re-assigned.
- IIBA Members who are outside the range of any geographic Chapter will be assigned to Connections, IIBA’s online global community.
- Your IIBA Membership profile can only be assigned to one Chapter, so this will default to your closest geographic Chapter, but you are still able to be part of both Chapters.
- As an IIBA Member, you have access to ALL Chapters.
- There is no more Chapter Membership pricing on events, only IIBA Member and Non-Member pricing. You are a Member of IIBA no matter where you are.
- IIBA Members have global access to Chapters: you are encouraged to engage and connect with Chapters around the world for events, study groups, and more.
- All Members have access to Connections, IIBA’s online global community.
- You can change your Chapter in your profile whenever you like.
- Technically, you are now a part of every Chapter with your IIBA Membership!
- No. One IIBA Membership fee includes belonging to any Chapter.
- Chapters no longer have Membership fees so belonging to IIBA includes belonging to the entire ecosystem of Chapters.
- Yes, you can join a Chapter from a different region.
- Country regions will be adjusted as part of Membership harmonization.

- If you are a new or existing Member assigned by your company or education provider, you will be assigned a Chapter in one of two ways:
- If you have an address on your account, you will be assigned according to your address on-file.
- If you do not have an address on-file, you will be assigned a Chapter according to your company’s address.
- Like individual members, you can always override the assignment and choose a different Chapter.

- Connections is IIBA’s online global community.
- It connects Members who are not close to a geographic Chapter to the global network of professionals and is available to all Members.
- It will connect individuals around the globe with specific IIBA Members only programming in various languages and in different time zones.
- Information will continue to be updated and shared with IIBA Members.
IIBA Chapter Website Platform Updates

- If you use the same email for your Chapter website profile, your Chapter website account history will be carried over to your single IIBA Membership account automatically May 4th.
- If you use a different email for your Chapter website profile, you must change your email on the Chapter website account in order for your history to be carried over to your single IIBA Membership account May 4th.
- We will integrate Single Sign-On (SSO) for all Chapter websites on our platform. This will mean that IIBA Global Member login credentials will allow IIBA Members to access any Chapter’s website on the CWP platform.
- Admin login will not use SSO, so an Admin login link will be added on the footer of the web page.

- No, you must join IIBA using this online process. This decreases the administrative burden for your Chapter Leader.
- The same link will also be added to your local Chapter website.
- You will no longer pay Chapter membership fees: these are now included with your Membership.
- IIBA Membership is annual, so you will need to pay once per year.
Chapter Events
/
- Any Member can attend any event from any Chapter.
- Some events may be offered at a price assigned by the Chapter.
- There may be Member and Non-Member pricing. There will be no more assigned Chapter Member pricing.
- Events will be listed in the Chapter portal.
- Chapters will have a minimum of:
- Nine events per year.
- Six of those events are PD (Professional Development) events.
- There will be a period of transition as our Chapter Leaders adjust to a harmonized Membership but will be required to meet the above requirements in accordance with Chapter Standards.
- Many of our Chapter events are free to IIBA Members. You’re welcome to attend any of these complimentary events around the world.
- In the case where a Chapter’s event has a fee, you’ll pay the same IIBA Member fee regardless of which Chapter you are affiliated with.
- All IIBA Members are welcome to participate in Chapter events outside of their home Chapter.
- Chapter events will now only have Member / non-Member pricing.
- We encourage you to join Chapter events around the world!
- Chapter events will only have Member / non-Member pricing. That means you will be charged the same fee as all Members if there is an additional charge assigned by the Chapter.
Chapter Communications and Engagement

- Chapter Leaders have their own unique pattern of communications that suits their Members.
- If you would like to reach out to your Chapter directly, you can use the contact information found on your local Chapter website.
- Most Chapter websites have a contact form in the top left corner.
- Some websites have individual contact information for their Chapter Board of Directors, instead.
- You will receive an email from IIBA Global once you have joined IIBA, including your assigned Chapter with their website, too.
- You are also added to the Chapter’s directory so your Chapter Leaders know they can contact you directly.
- Your Chapter Leaders are often listed on the Chapter websites.
