People often talk about Business Analysts being trusted advisors within the organization. Whether they are IT Business Analysts, Business Architects or Process Analysts they will work with many people within the organization. To get all needed information, they have to gain trust from every stakeholder. “The 9 Levels of Value Systems” describes the underlying pattern of social evolution through trans-cultural stages of development. The knowledge about the 9 levels adds significantly understanding of social processes and help Business Analysts to become trusted advisors.
In this talk Peter and Ingrid present findings from a world-wide study conducted in cooperation with IIBA® about the value systems of Business Analysts and how to use the knowledge to address cultural issues within organization.

About the Presenter:

Peter Gerstbach is Managing Director of Gerstbach Business Analyse GmbH, where he provides business analysis consultancy and training to various clients in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
 
He is one of the first CBAP® in Austria, co-founder and former president of IIBA Austria Chapter and the co-organizer of the Business Analysis Camp, a yearly conference taking place in Vienna, Austria.
 
He is a regular speaker at conferences, host of the first German Business Analysis Podcast and author of the first German Business Analysis book taking on a holistic view on the BA profession
