IIBA.org Looking Ahead in 2017
Congratulations to our BA Community. Looking back on 2016 we have a lot to celebrate. Our Chapter network welcomed four new Chapters including our first Chapter in China. Focusing on growing our business analysis community, IIBA® signed six strategic alliances creating new networking opportunities for Members. Leveraging these initiatives, our work with NASSCOM will continue to move forward promising exciting opportunities in India in 2017. As well, this year we will introduce a new edition of the Agile Guide supporting BABOK® Guide v3 developed in cooperation with the Agile Alliance.

Over the past year, we saw a shift from traditional business analysis roles – thanks to technology and digital disruptions – to new roles in areas such as business intelligence, business architecture and digital. New methods including Agile and design thinking continue to influence business change and we anticipate we will continue to see the business analysis role evolve over the next few years.

Community response to the findings from our Research and Impact Study released at BBC 2016, highlighted an opportunity for IIBA to delve deeper into the results. Research will continue to be an area of focus in 2017. To view the latest research please visit our Transformative Research page.

In 2016, IIBA also launched our new multi-level, competency-based certification program. Congratulations to the first candidates who completed their ECBA, CCBA® and CBAP® exams.

Our focus in 2017 will be on building our membership growth and delivering greater Member value. Stay tuned for more details.

Wishing you a successful 2017!
