IIBA^® is gearing up in anticipation of our official multi-level, competency-based Certification launch on September 30th. Thank you to all our volunteers and members of the BA community for your input and support in developing our new, enhanced certification program. This is exciting news for the BA community. 

 

In this month’s edition of the BA Connection, we examine the transformation taking place with our new certification program. The new program will revolutionize the value and recognition of business analysis professionals around the globe. The marketplace is changing and our redesigned program builds on the input of our global community, further enabling us to meet the needs of both our BA professionals and employers.

 

Competency-based certification uses scenario based testing to evaluate understanding and application of core knowledge areas of BABOK^® Guide v3. Developed by the community for the community, the four levels each have their own experience, professional development and other eligibility requirements as well as a competency-based assessment. This new framework is designed to meet the real-world needs of organizations in any industry around the globe.

 

BA professionals will now have a career certification that supports individuals from entering the field of business analysis to becoming a senior professional or thought leader.
