Celebrating IIBA Corporate Awards

As you may have heard, in mid-November, business analysis professionals from around the globe gathered for the annual Building Business Capability (BBC) conference. While this annual event is always full of learning and great connections, one of my favourite parts is the IIBA Corporate and Endorsed Education Provider (EEP) reception that we hold prior to the start of BBC.

Our annual reception is about coming together with our corporate members and our EEPs to connect, share and celebrate our global business analysis community. As part of our reception, we also take the opportunity to announce the winners of the annual IIBA Corporate Awards. It’s always inspiring to showcase these real-life examples of leadership and to share tangible ways that organizations are working to advance their business analysis practice and capabilities.

Our awards recognize members of the IIBA Global Corporate Program for their Leadership Excellence in the Advancement of the Practice of Business Analysis, Advancement of Professional Development in Business Analysis, and Business Analysis Advocacy and Corporate Engagement. If you weren’t able to make it to BBC, I wanted to share the news with you and provide a bit more insight on this year’s award winners.

Congratulations to this year’s award winners:

IDEXX Laboratories received the Leadership Excellence in the Advancement of the Practice of Business Analysis for consistently demonstrating effective business analysis practices by adapting, optimizing, and evolving business analysis best practices and standards and by implementing effective tools, processes, and methodologies to enable better business capabilities.

RBC was awarded with the Leadership Excellence in the Advancement of Professional Development in Business Analysis for consistently demonstrating support for the advancement of the business analysis profession and for the professional development for their employees, by providing sustainable training, certification, and other career development opportunities.

Computershare Technology Services received the Leadership Excellence in Business Analysis Advocacy and Corporate Engagement for consistently demonstrating leadership excellence by advocating the value and role of business analysis and by supporting the involvement and engagement of their employees with the local and global business analysis communities through volunteerism and thought leadership opportunities. Although the team from Computershare was unable to join us at BBC, IIBA was thrilled to present Computershare with their award during a recent visit to their office in Australia.
