IIBA® Announces New Strategic Plan  

New Direction will bring extensive value and support.
International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®) is pleased to announce the launch of a new strategic plan. The new plan provides the framework to guide the organization’s direction and the necessary action over the next three years. 
“There is no doubt that IIBA’s new strategic plan is an innovative, transformative platform that will ensure a more focused and impactful approach for the future,” said Michael Augello, Chair, IIBA. “This new strategic plan is key to the success of IIBA and will support delivering on our core purpose to unite a community of professionals to create better business outcomes.”
The new strategic plan will allow IIBA to capture new opportunities and provide value to Members, Chapters and Partners. As there is a global opportunity to significantly enhance the standing of the business analysis discipline and the profession, the new strategy will help support IIBA’s natural evolution and focus to support the broad discipline of business analysis and BA professionals.

“Over the last three months, IIBA has worked to develop the new, forward-moving strategic direction with insight from our community,” said Stephen Ashworth, President and CEO, IIBA. “IIBA’s team of dedicated staff, board and volunteers are committed to delivering on this new plan and providing direct value, support and leadership.”
The new strategic plan focuses on five new pillars that build on the success of the past, and will support the transformation of the value and impact of IIBA. The strategic plan includes five new pillars, including: 
  • “Gold Standard” for Business Analysis
  • Collaborative Chapter Model
  • Value-Add Relationships at Senior Levels in Organizations
  • Leverage a Network of Complementary Associations
  • Encompass Full Scope of Business Analysis Discipline  
In addition to the five pillars, the strategic plan is built with an overarching focus on operational excellence, including strengthening technology, innovation, customer service and internal support. 
During the first year of the plan, numerous initiatives will be launched and developed to deliver on the new strategic pillars.
