Executive Leadership Team

The Executive Leadership Team (ELT) is responsible for the day-to-day management of IIBA. Each member of the team has primary responsibility for a key stakeholder relationship as well as a portfolio of products and services. Supporting process areas are also divided up amongst the group. Biographies of the Executive Leadership Team

Stephen Ashworth, President and Chief Executive Officer

Stephen AshworthAn educator by training, Stephen is a recognized leader on issues relating to higher education and curriculum, leadership as well as business operations and management. An accomplished author, he has six years senior experience with Junior Achievement of Canada most recently serving as acting President and CEO. Junior Achievement is the largest non-profit business education organization in the world dedicated to inspiring and preparing youth to succeed in a global economy and reaching over 10.5 million youth annually in over 123 countries.

In addition to owning and operating several businesses, Stephen has spent more than 25 years in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. He has been actively involved with Financial Literacy with the Provincial and Federal (Canadian) governments.

 Alain Arseneault

Alain ArseneaultAlain has been a volunteer with the organization for seven years, holding several functions covering Strategic Planning, Marketing and Communications. He has also been an active member of the Board of Directors during the past three-and-a-half years, as Chair of the Nominations Committee then Vice-Chair of the Board and recently as Chair of the Board. Alain is a senior management professional with over 16 years of experience in both IT and business, establishing and managing PM/SDLC strategies, standards and practices covering various tenures in business analysis, project management and change management. Alain has been a member of various advisory forums on business analysis in Toronto, Canada. Alain is a fitness enthusiast, a painter at heart and an avid reader.

Kevin Brennan, CBAP, Chief Business Analyst and Executive Vice President 
 

Kevin BrennanKevin Brennan, CBAP, PMP, is the Chief Business Analyst and Executive Vice President for IIBA®. He led the development of Version 2.0 of The Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK® Guide) and was also one of the authors of the CBAP exam. He is a frequent speaker on business analysis, project management, and software quality assurance topics at conferences. Kevin has over a decade of experience as a business analyst and project manager across several industry sectors, including regulated professions, utilities, automobile manufacturing, courier services, and mortgage banking. During this time he has performed just about every task a business analyst could be expected to do, from developing corporate and product strategies to being paged by end-users looking for technical support. Kevin has taught project management and requirements analysis at Humber College, and has a B.A. degree in History and Political Science from the University of Toronto. He is also a graduate of Second City's improv comedy program.
